Scott is the founder of G. C. Wallace, Inc.
and G. C. Wallace of California, Inc. He retired from his position as CEO in 2004, however
Scott continues in an advisory role for the company as a member of the board of directors
of G. C. Wallace Holdings, Inc. His career spanned more than 50 years managing both the
technical and administrative activities of the company. Scott was involved in the engineering
design of projects associated with wastewater collection and treatment systems, water supply
and distribution, flood control, structural design, and planning programs. He also had
extensive structural and civil engineering experience relative to bridge and roadway
design and construction, as well as experience in numerous master planned communities.
The G. C. Wallace Companies have grown and prospered under Scott’s guidance and that of
his senior management team. Today, the company is the largest engineering firm headquartered in Nevada.
Since 1985, McGraw-Hill’s Engineering News-Record magazine has listed G. C. Wallace, Inc.,
in the “Top 500 Design Firms”, currently ranked in the top 200 in the U.S. The initial listing
in May 1985 marked the first time a Southern Nevada-based firm had received this national recognition.
