Brian Schmidt, PE

Brian has over 3 decades of experience in structural engineering design and management of transportation, flood control, industrial and military facilities including extensive work in the seismic analysis, evaluation, and design of concrete and steel structures. He serves as group manager for the GCW teams providing Structural Engineering and Civil Aviation services, and is responsible for the planning and review of projects performed by these divisions. Additionally, Brian supervises the activities of the utility departments who design new or rehabilitated infrastructure related to Water, Wastewater, and Electrical Engineering, and Alternative Energy products. His field project management experience includes supervision of subcontractors, procurement of materials, engineering and construction scheduling, and inspection including welding and equipment installation. Brian joined GCW in 1993.
