Calvin joined GCW in 1976 and has
had responsible charge of, and/or directed staff in, the development, analysis,
and preparation of complete and constructible design packages for a number of major
urban arterial roadways, bridges, and freeway interchanges in addition to a full
complement of drainage facilities. He is recognized for his expertise in flood control
issues of the arid Southwest. Calvin supervises the activities and products of the
large internal specialty division providing hydrologic / hydraulic analyses and
design. Throughout his career, which spans
over 40 years, Calvin
has amassed extensive experience in coordinating with local, regional, state, and
federal agencies with jurisdiction in Southern Nevada. He actively participates in
studies and design engineering on all drainage projects at GCW. Calvin also plays a key role in implementing mentoring programs, and
information forums for technical staff and EITs preparing for NCEES licensing exams.
