Roadway Design

The process for roadway design is continuously focused on providing safe, cost-effective, reliable, and maintainable roadway networks using innovative acquisition of rights-of-way, which meets the needs of the taxpayers, meets or exceeds the minimum standards based on design speed and roadway classification, and minimizes disruption to adjacent properties and the motoring public. These goals are often mutually exclusive, particularly on major widening or reconstruction projects. Our experience has trained our engineering staff to explore and seek lower-cost or lower-impact alternatives in order to develop the least disruptive and least expensive transportation designs.
