Summerlin Parkway Improvements

GCW is the engineering consultant for the preliminary and final design of Summerlin Parkway, widening the existing mainline freeway from 4 lanes to 8 lanes for 6 miles with auxiliary lanes and provisions for HOV facilities. Corridor improvements, including lighting, sound-walls, landscape and aesthetic treatments, regional trail system, and ITS elements are being analyzed from the U.S. 95/Rainbow Boulevard Interchange to the CC 215 West Beltway. The project corridor encompasses 6 interchanges. The planning process for the proposed improvements will include studies of the Project impacts and the preparation of a federal environmental document to meet the objectives of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The project includes multi-jurisdictional coordination with the City of Las Vegas, the Nevada Department of Transportation, and the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada.
